job description

Are you an experienced semiconductor professional looking to advance your career in a dynamic environment? Adecco is currently seeking a highly skilled CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) Process Engineer to join our prestigious client's engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for optimizing complex CMP processes to ensure high-yield manufacturing performance in a fast-paced production environment.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, solve technical roadblocks, and implement process control methodologies to maintain industry-leading standards. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of slurry chemistry, wafer polishing mechanics, and defect analysis. If you are passionate about semiconductor innovation and eager to apply your expertise to high-impact projects, we invite you to apply.

Responsibility

  • Develop, monitor, and optimize CMP processes for advanced wafer manufacturing.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on process deviations and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Equipment, Integration, and Quality) to improve yield and throughput.
  • Manage slurry and pad performance monitoring to ensure process stability and uniformity.
  • Design and conduct Experiments (DOE) to evaluate new materials, consumables, and process recipes.
  • Establish and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CMP equipment and processes.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) phases from pilot to mass production.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and production technicians.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Microelectronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CMP process engineering within a semiconductor fabrication facility.
  • In-depth understanding of planarization physics, slurry chemistry, and post-CMP cleaning.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure manufacturing environment with rotating shifts if required.
