Responsibility
- Develop, monitor, and optimize CMP processes for advanced wafer manufacturing.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on process deviations and implement robust corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Equipment, Integration, and Quality) to improve yield and throughput.
- Manage slurry and pad performance monitoring to ensure process stability and uniformity.
- Design and conduct Experiments (DOE) to evaluate new materials, consumables, and process recipes.
- Establish and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CMP equipment and processes.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) phases from pilot to mass production.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and production technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CMP process engineering within a semiconductor fabrication facility.
- In-depth understanding of planarization physics, slurry chemistry, and post-CMP cleaning.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure manufacturing environment with rotating shifts if required.
