Responsibility
- Lead the transformation of Cloud Operations from reactive to proactive, leveraging automation, AI, and predictive analytics to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Develop and implement a Cloud Operations roadmap aligned with IBM’s global standards and local business needs.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps, SRE, and FinOps frameworks to optimize cloud performance, cost, and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to ensure seamless cloud service delivery and incident resolution.
- Design and deploy monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to enhance visibility and control.
- Mentor and upskill teams on cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and serverless architectures.
- Establish SLA/SLO metrics and KPIs to measure and improve operational excellence.
- Stay ahead of emerging cloud trends (e.g., edge computing, AI/ML ops) and integrate them into IBM’s operational model.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, Infrastructure, or DevOps, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of transforming traditional IT operations into modern, scalable cloud environments.
- Deep expertise in multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and IaC frameworks (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT governance frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills to drive organizational adoption.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps, Azure Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
