Responsibility
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and label prescriptions, including compounding medications when required, while maintaining meticulous records.
- Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications to prevent shortages or expirations.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries, offering medication counseling, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
- Process insurance claims and handle billing procedures to ensure smooth transactions and minimize discrepancies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including communicating with doctors, nurses, and other staff as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment, adhering to hygiene and safety guidelines at all times.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new medications, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Pharmacy Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Assistant in a clinic, hospital, or retail pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of medication names, dosages, interactions, and side effects, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and inventory management systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are a plus.
- Valid certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician/Assistant (if applicable in your region).
