Responsibility
- Assist ophthalmologists and medical staff during eye examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile medical equipment and examination rooms in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Greet and register patients, verify medical histories, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care, medications, and general eye health best practices.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, placing orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Coordinate appointment schedules, follow-ups, and patient referrals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Provide emergency first aid and assist in handling medical urgencies under supervision.
Qualifications
- A diploma or certificate in Nursing, Medical Assisting, or a related healthcare field (preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical, hospital, or eye care setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and EHR systems.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (additional languages are a plus).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly advantageous.
