Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies, place orders, and manage stock levels to minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Monitor portion control and plating presentation to uphold consistent quality and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist in training and onboarding new kitchen staff, fostering a culture of learning and teamwork.
- Participate in daily pre-service meetings and contribute ideas for operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen or luxury hospitality setting.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety regulations, and workplace health and safety standards.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in culinary arts.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
