Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Maintain inventory of food supplies, place orders, and manage stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Monitor portion control and plating presentation to uphold consistent quality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new kitchen staff, fostering a culture of learning and teamwork.
  • Participate in daily pre-service meetings and contribute ideas for operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen or luxury hospitality setting.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisines, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, food safety regulations, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in culinary arts.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
