Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special orders.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu development, ensuring seasonal and local ingredients are incorporated.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen station in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Adhere to portion control and waste management practices to optimize cost efficiency.
- Participate in daily pre-service meetings and contribute ideas for service and menu enhancements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume café or restaurant.
- Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, with a focus on café-style and modern dishes.
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety regulations, and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Creative mindset with the ability to contribute to menu innovation and presentation.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian, French) are a plus.
- Team player with strong communication and leadership abilities.
