Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and high standards.
- Prepare and present dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality specifications.
- Monitor and manage inventory of kitchen supplies, including fresh produce, proteins, and pantry items, to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and special dishes, incorporating local Balinese ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on techniques, safety, and efficiency.
- Ensure timely preparation and service of meals during peak hours while adhering to service timelines.
- Participate in daily pre-service briefings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie, Line Cook, or similar role in a high-volume or fine-dining establishment.
- Formal culinary education (e.g., diploma or certificate from a recognized culinary school) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety standards (HACCP certification preferred).
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for menu innovation and presentation.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian or Balinese is advantageous.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment (up to 20 kg).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
