Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of brunch and café dishes to the highest standards.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection.
- Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
- Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet the café’s quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a café or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of brunch and café cuisine, with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- Certification in culinary arts or a related field is a plus.
