Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Filipino dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Manage and organize a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sautĂŠ, or prep) to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and team to develop seasonal menus and special promotions featuring Filipino cuisine.
- Monitor ingredient inventory, place orders, and ensure fresh, high-quality supplies are always available.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Assist in cost control measures by minimizing waste and optimizing portion sizes without compromising quality.
- Participate in daily pre-service meetings and contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel, with a focus on Filipino cuisine.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Filipino cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety standards.
