Responsibility
- Assist head chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Chop, slice, and prepare ingredients (vegetables, meats, seafood) efficiently to support daily kitchen operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Operate kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, grills, mixers) safely and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality.
- Follow portion control guidelines to optimize costs and maintain consistency in dish presentation.
- Participate in kitchen setup, breakdown, and cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary setting (entry-level candidates with passion are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices (certification is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 20 kg), and work in hot conditions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with Indonesian and international cuisines is advantageous.
