Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of hot dishes according to standardized recipes and portion sizes in a high-volume central kitchen.
- Ensure all food items are prepared fresh, on time, and meet quality and presentation standards.
- Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking ingredient stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Adhere to production schedules and deadlines to support timely delivery to outlets or distribution centers.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new recipes, techniques, and kitchen equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes, recipes, or equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cook or kitchen staff in a hotel, restaurant, or central kitchen environment.
- Proven ability to prepare hot dishes, including grilling, frying, sautĂŠing, and baking, with a focus on consistency and quality.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and proper handling of kitchen tools and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 20 kg), and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic understanding of Indonesian cuisine and ingredients is a plus.
