Responsibility
- Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related surveillance equipment in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections of surveillance systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, or network connectivity in CCTV systems.
- Design and propose customized security system layouts based on site assessments and client needs.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate CCTV systems with access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for clients, including training on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities for audit and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in surveillance technology and recommend upgrades or enhancements to clients.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (minimum 2+ years) as a CCTV Technician, Security Systems Installer, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of IP/HD CCTV systems, analog cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and video management software.
- Proficiency in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi) and the ability to configure cameras for remote access.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment (up to 20kg), and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Certifications in CCTV installation (e.g., Bosch, Hikvision, Dahua) are a plus.
