Responsibility
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, bread, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the decoration and presentation of pastries to ensure high-quality visual appeal.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry items and improve existing recipes.
- Ensure all pastries are prepared and served in a timely manner to meet guest expectations.
- Follow portion control and waste management guidelines to optimize cost efficiency.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the pastry station, including equipment and tools.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately with attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
