As a Cashier, you will be the face of our store, ensuring every customer enjoys a smooth and pleasant checkout experience. Responsibility
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, and e-wallets with precision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout counter area throughout the shift.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints professionally.
- Perform daily balancing of the cash drawer at the start and end of the shift.
- Assist in promoting in-store loyalty programs and seasonal promotions to customers.
- Support general store operations such as basic stock replenishment near the checkout zone during quiet periods.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent; retail experience is a plus but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in English or other local dialects is an advantage.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling.
- Proven track record of honesty, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work on a rotating shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
- A friendly, energetic personality with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during work hours.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
