Responsibility
- Develop and execute cargo loading plans for air freight shipments, ensuring optimal space utilization and weight distribution.
- Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and ground handling teams to facilitate smooth cargo operations.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any delays or discrepancies in real-time.
- Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards for air cargo.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including air waybills, manifests, and hazardous materials declarations.
- Analyze cargo capacity and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Liaise with clients to provide updates on shipment status and address any logistical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo movements and generate reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in air freight operations, cargo planning, or logistics coordination.
- Strong knowledge of IATA regulations and air cargo handling procedures.
- Proficiency in cargo management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with customs clearance processes and international trade documentation.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
