Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end airfreight import operations, including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with Indonesian and international regulations.
- Oversee project logistics for oversized cargo, coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and clients to ensure on-time delivery.
- Develop and optimize supply chain strategies for cost efficiency, route planning, and risk mitigation.
- Liaise with customs authorities, airlines, and ground handlers to resolve delays, discrepancies, or compliance issues.
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as transit times, cost savings, and service quality to stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, carriers, and 3PL providers to secure competitive rates and service levels.
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute complex logistics projects, including heavy-lift and out-of-gauge shipments.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental standards in all logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airfreight imports and 3 years in project logistics/oversized cargo.
- Proven track record of managing customs clearance, tariffs, and trade compliance in Indonesia or ASEAN markets.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, IATA regulations, and dangerous goods handling.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CargoWise) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly advantageous.
