Responsibility
- Perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of precision measurement instruments (e.g., pressure gauges, thermometers, electrical meters, and dimensional tools).
- Ensure all calibration processes adhere to ISO/IEC 17025 standards and internal quality management systems.
- Develop and update calibration procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation to maintain compliance.
- Conduct uncertainty analysis and generate calibration certificates with traceability to national/international standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve measurement discrepancies or equipment malfunctions, recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits, accreditations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new calibration technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on calibration techniques and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or quality assurance, preferably in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory.
- Hands-on experience with calibration software (e.g., Fluke MET/CAL, Beamex CMX) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Strong knowledge of measurement principles, uncertainty calculations, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with international standards (ISO, ANSI, NIST) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
