Responsibility
- Greet and serve customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Take and process orders accurately, including food and beverage selections, while upselling special promotions or menu items.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized café environment, including dining areas, counters, and equipment, to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Handle cash and electronic payments efficiently, providing correct change and receipts while balancing the cash register at the end of shifts.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and reporting low inventory to the manager.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, including coordinating orders and managing customer flow.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or customer service role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in order accuracy, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service is a plus, but willingness to learn is essential.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of the café’s operating hours.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
