Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of CAD drafters and designers, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
- Develop and enforce standardized CAD workflows, templates, and best practices to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with design engineers to translate conceptual designs into precise, high-quality CAD models and drawings.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to verify accuracy, compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, AIA), and adherence to client specifications.
- Optimize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D) utilization and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and project managers, to integrate CAD deliverables seamlessly.
- Train and upskill team members on new CAD tools, techniques, and emerging technologies (e.g., BIM, parametric design).
- Monitor project progress, allocate resources effectively, and report on KPIs to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in CAD drafting/design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar CAD software; experience with BIM (e.g., Navisworks) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, construction documentation, and industry regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
- Experience working in international or multicultural teams is an advantage.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
