Responsibility
- Develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for metal fabrication projects using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Review and validate CAD models to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Generate and update engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and assembly instructions.
- Provide technical support to production teams to resolve design-related issues during fabrication.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD technologies and industry trends to enhance design processes.
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights and recommendations for design improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or similar role, preferably in the metal fabrication industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
