Responsibility
- Design, develop, and oversee the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to ensure compliance with local and international building codes and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to integrate building services into overall project designs.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents for building services components.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget, quality, and safety standards.
- Perform site inspections and commissioning of building services systems to verify performance and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and sanitation systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices in building services engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field. Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building services design, installation, or project management, preferably in large-scale construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, BIM software, and other engineering design tools.
- Strong knowledge of international building codes (e.g., IBC, BS, ASHRAE) and sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working on international projects or in multicultural teams is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HVAC, electrical power distribution, fire safety systems, and water supply/drainage systems.
- Willingness to travel to Hong Kong for project assignments as required.
