Responsibility
- Coordinate and oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of all biomedical equipment in the hospital.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards for medical device safety and performance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to address technical issues and provide training on equipment usage.
- Manage inventory of biomedical equipment and spare parts, ensuring availability when needed.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Stay updated with advancements in biomedical technology and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Document all maintenance activities and prepare reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and management.
- Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, FDA).
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and calibration tools for biomedical equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Certification in Biomedical Engineering (e.g., CBET) is a plus.
