Responsibility
- Draft, review, and translate legal documents (contracts, agreements, compliance reports) between Mandarin and English with absolute accuracy.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for international client meetings, ensuring cultural and linguistic alignment.
- Manage confidential legal correspondence and maintain organized digital/physical filing systems.
- Conduct legal research on cross-border regulations, particularly for PR and corporate law in APAC markets.
- Coordinate with government agencies, embassies, and local authorities for document authentication and notarization.
- Liaise between Mandarin-speaking clients and English-speaking legal teams to clarify requirements and expectations.
- Prepare meeting minutes, summaries, and action items for multilingual legal discussions.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws, IP regulations, and PR-related legal frameworks.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) and English at a business-professional level (HSK 6 or equivalent preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a similar role, preferably in an international setting.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology in both languages and experience with contract law.
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in document preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure, multicultural environment.
- Prior experience in PR, corporate law, or cross-border transactions is highly advantageous.
