Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee, espresso-based beverages, and teas following company recipes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas throughout the shift.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and process payments accurately while maintaining cash drawer balance.
- Perform daily opening and closing duties, including equipment calibration and inventory replenishment.
- Educate customers on coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their coffee journey.
- For Head Barista roles: Oversee team performance, manage coffee inventory levels, and ensure quality control standards are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop or café environment.
- Deep understanding of coffee extraction, milk steaming techniques (latte art is a plus), and brewing equipment maintenance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing personality and a passion for customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
- For Head Barista candidates: Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a similar hospitality role.
