Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for TikTok’s messaging platform using languages like Go, Python, or Java.
- Optimize system performance, latency, and reliability to handle high-volume, real-time messaging traffic.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to integrate messaging features seamlessly into the TikTok ecosystem.
- Implement robust APIs, microservices, and database architectures to support user interactions and data persistence.
- Monitor, debug, and resolve backend issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for messaging services.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile development processes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and deployment pipelines to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (graduating by 2027).
- Strong proficiency in backend development with experience in languages like Go, Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, gRPC, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
