This contract position offers a competitive salary of $3,000–$3,800/month, with a structured Monday–Friday schedule (8:30 AM–5:30 PM, with occasional night shifts as needed). As part of a forward-thinking team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of autonomous solutions, troubleshoot system anomalies, and optimize performance for 24/7 port operations. Whether you’re refining algorithms or conducting field tests, your work will directly shape the efficiency and safety of one of Asia’s most advanced ports.
Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy autonomous control systems for port machinery (e.g., cranes, AGVs, or container handling equipment).
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate sensors, IoT devices, and AI models into port infrastructure.
- Conduct system testing and validation in both simulated and live environments to ensure reliability and safety.
- Monitor and troubleshoot real-time autonomous operations, including night-shift support when required.
- Optimize algorithms for path planning, obstacle avoidance, and predictive maintenance in high-traffic port scenarios.
- Document technical specifications, user manuals, and compliance reports for regulatory audits.
- Provide on-site/remote technical support during system deployments and upgrades.
- Stay updated on emerging automation trends (e.g., ROS, SLAM, or edge computing) and propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in autonomous systems, industrial automation, or embedded software development.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, or MATLAB for control systems and algorithm development.
- Hands-on experience with ROS (Robot Operating System), PLCs, or SCADA systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with sensor fusion (LiDAR, cameras, radar) and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to occasional night shifts for system monitoring and maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with non-technical stakeholders and global teams.
