Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on buses involved in accidents to assess damage and determine repair requirements.
- Execute structural and cosmetic repairs, including frame straightening, panel replacement, and painting, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters and workshop supervisors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.
- Conduct post-repair quality checks to verify that all work meets safety and performance standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours for documentation and billing purposes.
- Operate specialized tools and equipment, such as welding machines, hydraulic presses, and diagnostic scanners, with precision and safety.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new repair techniques, and advancements in automotive technology.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols and environmental regulations during all repair activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, with a focus on accident repairs or heavy vehicle maintenance.
- Certification in Automotive Repair or a related field (e.g., ASE, City & Guilds) is highly preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and repair guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Familiarity with bus systems, including chassis, suspension, braking, and electrical components.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
