Responsibility
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and other automation components to ensure seamless operation.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on automation systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues in automated machinery and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize system performance and improve operational efficiency.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of new automation equipment and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and productivity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as an Automation Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), HMIs, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Experience with troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo motors is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
