Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce human intervention.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar) and robotic systems for seamless operation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, user manuals, and maintenance protocols.
- Monitor and optimize automated processes to ensure peak performance, reliability, and safety compliance.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.
- Provide training and support to operational staff on automated systems and new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and experience with brands like Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Rockwell.
- Strong knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with robotic systems (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
