Responsibility
- Develop and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings for FDAS layouts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret design specifications and incorporate feedback into drawings.
- Maintain and organize digital drawing files, version control, and documentation for easy retrieval and updates.
- Perform quality checks on drawings to verify dimensions, annotations, and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
- Stay updated with AutoCAD best practices and industry trends to enhance efficiency and output quality.
- Coordinate with project managers to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design discrepancies by liaising with engineers and architects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (1-3 years) as an AutoCAD Operator or Drafter, preferably in FDAS, electrical, or mechanical engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (latest versions) and familiarity with CAD standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI).
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, symbols, and terminology related to fire alarm systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precise measurements and scales.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations (e.g., NFPA) is a plus.
- Associateâs or Bachelorâs degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
