Responsibility
- Develop and modify detailed technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints using AutoCAD based on engineer specifications and design requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of drawings with project goals and industry standards.
- Review and verify design drawings for compliance with technical standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Maintain organized digital files of all project drawings, revisions, and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
- Assist in the preparation of bill of materials (BOM) and other project documentation as needed.
- Utilize layering, scaling, and dimensioning techniques to optimize drawing clarity and usability.
- Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features, plugins, and industry best practices to enhance productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in drawings to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (1-3 years) as an AutoCAD Operator, Drafter, or similar role in engineering, architecture, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D with a strong portfolio showcasing technical drawing skills.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical specifications.
- Familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit) is a plus.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and efficiency.
