Responsibility
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) based on their unique needs and goals.
- Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions to improve communication, social interaction, and behavioral skills.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavioral analysts, to provide holistic care.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes for each child.
- Provide guidance and support to families, helping them understand and reinforce therapeutic strategies at home.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in autism therapy to ensure evidence-based interventions.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Promote awareness and understanding of autism within the community through workshops, training sessions, or outreach programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or a related field.
- Certification or training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), or other evidence-based autism therapy approaches.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a therapeutic or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder, including its challenges and strengths, and a commitment to person-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other healthcare or educational professionals.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of children with varying levels of ability.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a plus.
