Responsibility
- Prepare and lodge Australian tax returns (individual, company, trust, and SMSF) in compliance with ATO regulations.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to Australian clients, optimizing their financial strategies.
- Assist with financial reporting, including BAS, IAS, and FBT lodgments.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on Australian tax laws, rulings, and compliance changes.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve tax-related queries and disputes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support senior accountants with complex tax cases and client advisory projects.
- Leverage accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification is a plus).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Australian tax compliance and advisory services.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, ATO requirements, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting while meeting deadlines.
- Prior experience working with international clients is advantageous.
