Responsibility
- Lead and manage statutory audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
- Oversee audit teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for audit-related inquiries.
- Identify risks, recommend improvements, and provide strategic insights to enhance clients' financial processes.
- Drive business development initiatives, including proposal writing, client presentations, and networking.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and firm policies in all audit activities.
- Collaborate with senior management to refine audit methodologies and improve operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in leading statutory audits for diverse clients, including multinational corporations.
- Strong knowledge of local and international auditing standards (e.g., ISA, GAAP, IFRS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and teams.
- Experience in business development, client acquisition, and proposal writing.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
