Responsibility
- Oversee all AV operations, including setup, testing, and execution for events, conferences, and daily venue activities.
- Lead and mentor a team of AV technicians, ensuring high standards of performance, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with event planners, clients, and internal teams to design customized AV solutions tailored to event requirements.
- Manage AV equipment inventory, including procurement, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure state-of-the-art technology.
- Develop and implement AV best practices, safety protocols, and emergency contingency plans for all events.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized AV needs, including live streaming, video production, and sound engineering.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative AV solutions that enhance guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all technical, legal, and safety standards for AV installations and operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Media Production, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV management, preferably in luxury hospitality, events, or live production.
- Proven expertise in operating and troubleshooting AV equipment, including sound systems, projectors, LED walls, and lighting consoles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and supervise AV staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in AV software (e.g., QLab, ProTools, Resolume) and familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support event schedules.
- Certifications in AV technologies (e.g., CTS, AVI-SPL) or hospitality management are a plus.
