Kenanga Investment Bank is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Associate, Operations Assets and Wealth Management to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our wealth management operations, ensuring seamless transaction processing and high-level support for our clients' investment portfolios.
As an Associate, you will manage end-to-end operational workflows related to Unit Trusts, Private Retirement Schemes (PRS), and other wealth management products. You will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and our clients, ensuring that all financial transactions are executed with precision, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Responsibility
- Manage and process day-to-day transactions for Unit Trust and Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) accounts accurately and timely.
- Perform daily reconciliation of fund transactions to ensure alignment with internal systems and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external fund houses to resolve operational discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain high data integrity within the wealth management database, ensuring all client information is updated and verified.
- Prepare periodic operational reports for management review, highlighting performance metrics and potential risk areas.
- Ensure full adherence to internal policies, Securities Commission guidelines, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
- Provide operational support for new product launches and system enhancements related to wealth management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in investment operations, unit trust administration, or wealth management back-office support.
- Solid understanding of investment products, specifically Unit Trusts and PRS mechanisms in Malaysia.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with experience in financial software/ERP systems being a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight cut-off times.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding client data.
