Responsibility
- Conduct routine mechanical tests, including stripping tests, moisture content analysis, and rebar geometric measurements, in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Document test procedures, results, and anomalies in detailed technical reports for client review.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret data and provide actionable insights for material performance improvements.
- Assist in the development and validation of new testing methodologies to enhance efficiency and precision.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in all laboratory and field operations.
- Support quality control processes by identifying defects or deviations in materials and recommending corrective actions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to address client-specific testing requirements and custom solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 0–2 years of experience in materials testing, quality assurance, or a laboratory setting (fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply).
- Familiarity with ASTM, ISO, or other international testing standards for construction materials.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment such as universal testing machines (UTM), moisture analyzers, and calipers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and generate clear, concise reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software or laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and clients.
