Responsibility
- Design and teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Biology Education.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful research and publish in leading peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Secure external research grants to support innovative educational projects.
- Supervise postgraduate students (Master's and PhD) and provide academic mentorship.
- Collaborate with international research partners and local educational institutions to enhance curriculum design.
- Contribute to institutional committee work and academic administration to support the department's mission.
- Facilitate professional development workshops for practicing teachers in the Singapore education system.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biology, Science Education, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and scholarly output.
- Strong background in pedagogical theories and contemporary teaching practices in life sciences.
- Experience in securing competitive research funding is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to teach effectively in a diverse, technology-enhanced classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead collaborative research groups.
- For Associate Professor applicants: A proven track record of senior leadership in academic research and graduate supervision.
