Responsibility
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including corporate tax, GST/VAT, and withholding tax, while staying updated on regulatory changes.
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and compliance.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decision-making.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax advisors and legal counsel, to ensure seamless financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) are a strong plus.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and tax regulations in Malaysia and Indonesia.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Experience with financial audits and working with external auditors.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is a plus.
