Responsibility
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise database systems (SQL, NoSQL, or hybrid).
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of databases through proactive monitoring and optimization.
- Lead database migration, backup, and recovery processes to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications and APIs.
- Develop and enforce database policies, standards, and best practices for data governance.
- Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide timely resolutions to stakeholders.
- Manage user access, permissions, and role-based security to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports and analytics to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
- Proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) and on-premise solutions.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
