Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks, policies, and procedures to align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize operational, financial, and strategic risks across the organization, using qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Collaborate with business units to design and execute risk mitigation strategies, ensuring proactive management of potential threats.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key risks, trends, and actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with local and international risk management standards, including ISO 31000, COSO, and Basel frameworks.
- Support the development and delivery of risk awareness training programs for employees to foster a risk-aware culture.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to adapt risk management strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. A Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CIA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit roles within the financial services, banking, or fintech sectors.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management (ERM) principles, including operational, financial, and strategic risk frameworks.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and implement risk controls.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards such as ISO 31000, COSO, and Basel III.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and risk management software/tools (e.g., RSA Archer, MetricStream).
