Based in one of Bali’s prime locations—Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung—you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust AML frameworks, conduct risk assessments, and stay ahead of emerging financial crime trends. Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and monitor AML and financial crime prevention policies, procedures, and controls in compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Lead KYC (Know Your Customer) and CDD (Customer Due Diligence) processes, including enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients.
  • Conduct risk assessments and periodic reviews of AML frameworks to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Investigate and report suspicious activities (SARs) in accordance with regulatory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to integrate AML best practices into fintech products and services.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on AML compliance, financial crime risks, and regulatory updates.
  • Monitor transaction patterns and implement automated surveillance tools to detect and prevent illicit financial activities.
  • Represent the company in audits, regulatory examinations, and interactions with authorities, ensuring full transparency and cooperation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, LL.M) or certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFA, FRM) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in AML, financial crime prevention, or compliance within the banking or fintech sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of AML regulations (e.g., FATF, Bank Negara Malaysia, or equivalent Indonesian frameworks) and KYC/CDD methodologies.
  • Proven experience with AML software, transaction monitoring systems, and risk assessment tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Refinitiv, or Actimize).
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify red flags.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate compliance requirements to non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with fintech operations, digital payments, or cryptocurrency compliance is highly advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other regional languages is a bonus.
