Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the admission and discharge processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, focusing on service excellence, operational efficiency, and financial management.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of admission and discharge coordinators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance patient experience.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, address issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, data entry, and reporting in accordance with healthcare regulations and organizational requirements.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth transitions and address concerns or inquiries.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in admission and discharge processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, admission and discharge procedures, and patient care standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
