Responsibility
- Oversee and manage daily hostel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by promptly addressing inquiries, managing complaints, and exceeding expectations for comfort and satisfaction.
- Manage booking systems, reservations, and guest check-ins/check-outs with accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement and monitor operational procedures, policies, and health & safety standards to ensure compliance and guest well-being.
- Assist with budget management, inventory control, and procurement to optimize operational costs and maintain adequate supplies.
- Develop and promote engaging guest activities and events to enhance the hostel's community atmosphere and guest interaction.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to strategize on occupancy rates, revenue generation, and overall business performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hostel or boutique hotel.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to handle guest relations, resolve conflicts, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and standard office software (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
- A genuine passion for travel, cultural exchange, and creating memorable experiences for guests.
