Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for electronic components and related materials across Asian manufacturing hubs, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable sources of materials, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging technologies in electronic components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and logistics, to optimize supply chain efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Lead supplier relationship management, including performance evaluations, contract renewals, and dispute resolution to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, lead times, and supplier quality to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, ethical sourcing standards, and company policies across all sourcing activities.
- Travel regionally as needed to conduct supplier audits, attend industry events, and strengthen business relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on electronic components or manufacturing.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and achieving cost savings in an Asian market context.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, financial reports, and supply chain metrics to drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is highly advantageous.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software to streamline sourcing processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to supplier locations and industry events across Asia.
