Responsibility
- Assist in the daily operations of the aquarium retail store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Participate in a structured training program to learn about aquatic ecosystems, fish health, and tank maintenance.
- Educate customers on proper aquarium setup, care, and product selection to ensure their success.
- Monitor and maintain the health of live stock (fish, corals, plants) and report any issues to senior staff.
- Process transactions, handle cash, and manage point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to create visually appealing displays and promotional materials to attract customers.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing shipments of aquatic products and supplies.
- Support marketing initiatives, including social media content and in-store promotions, to drive sales and engagement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in marine biology, business, or related fields is a plus.
- Passion for aquatics, marine life, or retail management with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
- Basic understanding of aquarium systems, fish care, or retail operations is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and multitasking.
- Physical ability to lift and move aquarium equipment, tanks, and supplies (up to 20 kg).
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory software).
