Responsibility
- Provide first-line technical support for healthcare applications, including EMR systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues reported by healthcare professionals, escalating complex problems to senior engineers when necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and healthcare providers, to identify and implement system improvements.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular health checks, and proactively address potential issues before they impact users.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles for end-users and internal teams.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and testing of new software releases or updates in healthcare environments.
- Provide training and support to healthcare staff on the effective use of EMR and other clinical applications.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data security standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in application support, IT support, or a similar technical role, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Hands-on experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, healthcare software, or clinical applications (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and service desk best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and patient manner.
- Experience with remote support tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk), and basic scripting (e.g., SQL, PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, or healthcare-specific credentials (e.g., CPHIMS) are advantageous.
