Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive AML list screening using advanced tools and databases to identify potential matches against sanctions, PEP (Politically Exposed Persons), and watchlists.
- Perform detailed research and due diligence on flagged entities to determine the validity of matches and assess risk levels.
- Document and maintain accurate records of screening results, investigations, and dispositions in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, and Risk Management, to escalate high-risk cases and provide actionable insights.
- Stay updated on evolving AML regulations, sanctions lists, and industry best practices to ensure adherence to global compliance standards.
- Analyze trends and patterns in screening alerts to identify potential process improvements or systemic risks.
- Prepare and present reports on screening activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of AML screening methodologies and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in AML, KYC (Know Your Customer), sanctions screening, or financial crime investigation.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, including FATF, OFAC, and local financial crime laws.
- Proficiency in using AML screening tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Refinitiv, Actimize) and conducting online research.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with financial services operations and customer onboarding processes is advantageous.
