Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end airfreight operations, including import, export, and transshipment processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cargo routing, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
- Ensure compliance with international aviation regulations, IATA standards, and local customs requirements.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and train a high-performing airfreight team to meet business objectives.
- Resolve complex logistical challenges and provide innovative solutions to enhance client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to identify new business opportunities and retain existing clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- IATA certification is highly preferred (e.g., IATA/FIATA Diploma in Air Cargo).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airfreight management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of air cargo regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
