Responsibility
- Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as required.
- Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or other tools to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects, imperfections, or inconsistencies and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed.
- Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations when handling hazardous materials such as paints, solvents, and thinners.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with Bombardierâs standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain and calibrate painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and precision.
- Document all painting activities, including material usage, application techniques, and quality control checks.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and materials to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Aircraft Painter or in a similar role within the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Proven expertise in surface preparation, masking, and application of primers, paints, and coatings on aircraft or large-scale industrial projects.
- Familiarity with aerospace-grade materials, including epoxy primers, polyurethane topcoats, and corrosion-resistant coatings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering flawless, high-quality finishes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and handling of hazardous materials.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require standing, bending, climbing, or working in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Certification in aerospace painting or related fields is a plus.
